Firewood News & Seasonal Updates

Delivery route announcements, seasonal restock reminders, and the odd note from the truck. Real updates about firewood on Vancouver Island.

What you'll find here

This is where we post news from Saanich Firewood: changes to delivery areas and routes, and seasonal reminders about when to order before the cold sets in. We also share practical burning tips for wood stoves, inserts and fireplaces, and notes on local firewood, such as how Douglas fir, hemlock, alder and maple behave, and why dry wood matters so much on the wet coast. Posts are short and written for homeowners across Greater Victoria and the Saanich Peninsula, whether you light a fire a few evenings a month or heat the whole house with wood all winter.

For a full, plain-language reference on seasoning, moisture, cord sizes, storage and what never to burn, read our firewood guide for Victoria and Vancouver Island homes. Ready to order? Our seasoned firewood delivery brings split, air-dried wood under 20% moisture to Victoria and the Saanich Peninsula. It's $475 a cord or $1200 for 2.5 cords, plus a delivery fee by zone that we quote up front.
